PURPOSE:To make it possible to clearly finish a grip integrally formed at the bottom of a container by a method wherein a preformed item is pre-blown longitudinally and laterally and, at the same time, a grip is formed from a grip forming resin well and, after that, blow molding is performed with main blow molding dies. CONSTITUTION:A preformed item 1 is set in a cavity by opening shoulder forming open-close molds 3a in order to obtain an intermediate formed item 5 by blow molding. In this case, a flat grip 11 having a hanging at its center is formed from a grip forming resin well 6. The resultant intermediate formed item 5 is set in main blow molding dies in such a manner that its hanging grip 11 is inserted in a grip protecting space 20 and the bottom of the intermedi ate formed item 5 is pinched by a stretching rod 4e from the inside of the item 5 and grip protecting molds 4b from its outside. After that, by lowering both the stretching rod 4e and the grip protecting molds 4b at the same speed, the intermediate formed item 5 is stretched. After that, the main blow molding dies 4 are clamped so as to form a container 10 by inserting air in order to laterally stretch the intermediate formed item 5. |
