PURPOSE: An article keeping device installed to a computer main body is provided to easily keep a small, soft, and various shapes article as well as a hard and standardized article like a CD. CONSTITUTION: A shelf(5) is formed by a bottom plate and both sidewalls equipped with a fixing tool as one body in order to be installed to a vacant space of a drive installation part. A front cover(9) is joined to a front of the shelf and is equipped with an entrance/exit at a center. A door(11) opens/closes the entrance/exit of the front cover. A torsion spring(43) always presses the door to the outside. A keeping box is seated on the shelf through the entrance/exit of the front door and is formed by the bottom plate, a front/rear wall, and both sidewalls as one body in order to keep the article to the inside. A transferring tool(6) comprises an attaching/detaching tool(45), a slider, a guide bar(65), and a driving motor(68). A driving control processor controls the driving motor depending on a position of the keeping box provided from a position detecting projection.
