LASER MACHINING APPARATUS

A laser machining apparatus in which one laser beam (2) is split by first polarization means (6) into two laser beams (7, 8), one of the beams is transmitted through a mirror whereas the other is scanned in two axial directions by a first galvano-scanner (11), and the two laser beams (7, 8) are directed to second polarization means (9) and then scanned by a second galvano-scanner (12) thereby to machine a work (13). An optical path is set up such that the laser beam transmitted through the first polarization means (6) is reflected by the second polarization means (9) whereas the laser beam reflected by the first polarization means (6) is transmitted through the second polarization means (9).
