The invention concerns a system for transmitting data flows between two remote stations (1; 2), connected by a telecommunication network. The invention is characterised in that each station is equipped with an identical communication module (10; 20) designed to: process each of said data flows received from the associated station (1, 2) in accordance with a unique communication protocol, wherein each flow is organised in packets constituted according to a format comprising a flow identifying field, a priority field assigned to said flow and a data field proper, and transmit said packets to the communication module (20; 10) of the other station (2; 1) through the telecommunication network according to their respective priority; and to process each packet received from the communication module (20; 10) of the other station (2; 1) according to the priority written in the priority field, and supply to the associated station (1, 2) the identification of the corresponding flow, written in the identification field, as well as the data contained in the data field. The invention is applicable to remote expertise, in particular remote echography. |
