<p>A method of assaying a target nucleic acid whereby an SNP can be detected or a target nucleic acid can be quantified conveniently in a short time without resort to any skills. This method comprises reacting a target nucleic acid with a labeled probe comprising a labeled nucleic acid hybridizable with the target nucleic acid, a non-labeled probe comprising a nucleic acid having a base sequence complementary to a region, which is different from the region to be hybridized with the labeled probe, in the above-described target nucleic acid, and a solid probe in which a nucleic acid having a base sequence complementary to a region, which is different from the region to be hybridized with the labeled probe, in the above-described target nucleic acid is bonded to a support, and then measuring the label of the above-described labeled probe bonded to the above-described support. The terminal region of the region to be hybridized with the non-labeled probe overlaps with the terminal region of the region to be hybridized with the solid phase probe.</p> |
