PURPOSE:To provide the subject material not breaking a film when deep-drawn and having excellent tensile strength and abrasion resistance by laminating a hot-melt film to a fiber web layer, needling the laminate and subsequently treating the needled laminate with hot air. CONSTITUTION:The objective automotive interior surface skin material is prepared by laminating a hot-melt film to a formed fiber web layer, needling the laminate and subsequently treating the needled laminate with hot air, the hot- melt film being not broken when drawn by 50%. The hot-molt film is e.g. polyurethane film or polyolefin film but preferably a film having a melting point 20 deg.C or more lower than that of the fiber constituting the fiber web layer. The thermal treatment is carried out preferably with a drier, etc., adjusted to 160-200 deg.C. |
