PURPOSE: To enable the reliable shift of a double-hooked needle from one slider to the other slider by forcing the latch of the double-hooked needle to stay at an open position by a spring and forming a sharp tip point at the tip of a slider. CONSTITUTION: A latch is forced to stay at an open position by a spring placed on a hook of a double-hooked needle to keep it at a stable position 28. At the tip of a slider 8 fitting the double-hooked needle, a sharp tip point 30 is formed. At first, the inside part of the tilting sides of the tip point is allowed to touch the curved end of the double-hooked needle to accurately position the double-hooked needle. The tip point 30 comes into contact with the latch existing at the position 28 and the latch completely opens until the final fitting position, with the upward motion of the outer tilting side. |
