<p>PURPOSE: To reduce data processing at a decoder and to reduce the delay of signal processing by finding a line having best focus not through digital processing but through analog processing. CONSTITUTION: Data generated during the raster scan of entire array of a photoelectric detector 17 reach 875 kilobits in a conventional television format and reach 4 megabits in a further advanced system. Huge processing tasks and much storage capacity for finding the line at the best focus are required for storing data until the line having the most clear focus is found. The line having the best focus is found not through digital processing adopted at present but through analog processing. Thus, the cost of decoder can be reduced, the delay of signal processing is reduced and the amount of data to be processed can be decreased.</p> |
