<p>PURPOSE: To easily fit a handy type optical scanner onto the palm and to easily read a bar code label by providing a means for fixing the vessel member onto the hand and a switch means for operating the handy type optical scanner when that member is fixed onto the hand. CONSTITUTION: A band 26 is fitted to a disk-shaped vessel 22 so that the vessel can be sized to be fixed and settled on the palm of hand 24 of an operator. Then, a vessel protruding part 28 is provided on the outer face of the vessel 22, a presser switch 30 is provided for enabling the operation of a bar code reader, a battery 32 is placed inside the vessel protruding part 28, and power is supplied to the respective operating elements of the reader. Namely, the protruding part 28 is arranged at the edge of the vessel 22 so as to easily operate the switch 30 with a thumb 34. Thus, the compact handy type bar code reader, which can be easily fixed on the palm and conveniently operated, can be provided.</p> |
