The urethra support system includes an implantate band (1) and a surgical needle (2). The needle has a distal end region (12) which is narrower than the implantate band. At least one end of the implantate band has a coupling device (20) including a coupling for the distal end region of the needle and a transition region widening out towards the implantate band.
