PURPOSE:To stabilize a dye and to eliminate the generation of edge stains even after long-term storage in the case of subjecting a photosensitive material to a non-washing process by exposing, developing and fixing the photosensitive material to an opaque thermoplastic film substrate consisting of a synthetic polyester film coated with pulverous particles of a white pigment and/or synthetic polyester film contg. dispersedly the pulverous particles and subjected to molecualr orientation then subjecting the photosensitive material to a stabilizing process. CONSTITUTION:The white pigment used for a silver halide color photosensitive material is not particularly limited and is preferably inorg. white pigments such as barium sulfate, titanium oxide and barium carbonate; above all, the compd. of 2 kinds of barium sulfate and titanium oxide is more preferable. Each one kind thereof may be used along or >=2 kinds may be used in combination. The content of the white pigment is preferably in a 5-50pts.wt. range with respect to 100pts.wt. polyester and the grain size of the white pigment ranges preferably 0.5-50mum. The synthetic polyester may be made into the opaque layer by coating the white pigment to one or both surfaces thereof or may be made opaque by contg. dispersedly the white pigment and subjecting the same to the molecualr orientation. The opaque layers may be formed as well by forming the coating layer and the molecular orientation layer into two layers each. |
