The device has a switch housing (1) and a switch lever (3) rotatable about at least a first axis (2), whereby two bearing journals connected to the lever are rotatably mounted in bearing bushes opposite each other in the switch housing. The housing has a one-piece frame (5) in which one bush is directly formed as a properly matching opening (6). The other bush is formed by a sleeve (8) accommodated by an oversize opening (7) in the frame.
