PURPOSE:To surely prevent a cover from scattering, by providing a high strength part for preventing propagation of breakage, in the terminal end part of each tear line which initiates the breakage upon operation of an air bag so that the breakage of the cover is stopped at the terminal end of the tear line. CONSTITUTION:A cover is formed therein with a center tear line 2, and end tear lines 3, 4 for initiating breakage upon operation of an air bag. Further, the center tear line 2 is extended longitudinally of the cover in the center part of the cover 1. Meanwhile, the tear lines 3, 4 are extended transversely of the cover 1 in the vicinity of the ends of the cover 1.
