Acylsulfimide derivatives (I) of pyridine and pyrimidine are new. Heterocyclic acylsulfimides of formula (I) and their salts are new. X = CH or N; Y = O or S; m, n = 0 or 1; R<1> = 1-6C haloalkyl; R<2>, R<3> = H, halo, or 1-6C alkyl, optionally with one or two methylene replaced by O, S or N(1-6C alkyl), provided that 2 heteroatoms are not adjacent; R<4>, R<5> = R<6>, C(W)R<7>, C(=NOR<7>)R<7>, C(=NNR<7>2)R<7>, C(W)OR<7>, C(W)NR<7>2, OC(W)R<7>, OC(W)OR<7>, NR<7>C(W)R<7>, N(C(W)R<7>)2, NR<7>C(W)OR<7>, C(W)NR<7>-NR<7>2, C(W)NR<7>-NR<7>(C(W)R<7>), NR<7>C(W)NR<7>2, NR<7>-N(C(W)R<7>)2, N(C(W)R<7>)-NR<7>2, NR<7>-NR<7>(C(W)WR<7>), NR<7>(C(W)NR<7>2), NR<7>(C=NR<7>)R<7>, NR<7>(C=NR<7>)NR<7>2, ONR<7>2, ONR<7>C(W)R<7>, SO2NR<7>2, NR<7>SO2R<7>, SO2OR<7>, OSO2R<7>, OR<7>, NR<7>2, SR<7>, PR2, P(W)R<7>, SOR<7>, SO2R<7>, PW2R<7>2 or PW3R<7>2, or together complete a or R<4>+R<5> = 3-8 membered (un)saturated, optionally substituted ring system, optionally including 1-4 other heteroatoms and two or more of the substituents may form one or more additional ring systems; W = O or S; R<6> = 1-20C alkyl, 2-20C alkenyl or alkynyl, 3-8C cycloalkyl, 4-8C cycloalkenyl, 8-10C cycloalkynyl, aryl or heterocyclyl, optionally substituted one or more times; and R<7> = H or R<6>. Independent claims are also included for: (1) preparation of (I); (2) an insecticidal, acaricidal and/or nematocidal composition containing (I); (3) preparation of N-chloro-4-trifluoromethyl-nicotinamide (IIIa) and its salts; and (4) salts of (IIIa) with (in)organic acids in which the anion is non-oxidizable. |
