The assembly for sorting mixed materials from a shredder has at least one crusher (4) to break them down into ripped fragments. A separator (6) to remove wires and packaging tape materials is downstream of the crusher. After the magnetic stretch (9), a station separates plastics from non-ferrous matter using beating mills (13,17). Fluff is extracted by suction fans (11,15,19) and suction hoods. The separated materials are finally sorted by density (22).
