It is intended to provide a means of treating and preventing angiostenosis. Namely, a replication vector with vascular smooth muscle-specific expression which does not act on normal adult cells characterized by having the transcription initiation regulatory region of a gene, which is expressed specifically in vascular smooth muscle, into the upstream of a definite gene; medicinal compositions containing the same for treating and preventing angiostenosis; and a method therefor.
