A printer (1), comprising a paper sheet storage part (6) capable of setting paper sheets (7) in stacked state, a pickup roller (12) brought into contact with one side of the set paper sheets (7), and a cover body (10) for covering the other side thereof, wherein the paper sheets (7) are carried toward a printing mechanism part (14) by the rotating action of the pickup roller (12), and first ribs (10a) and a second rib (3a) forcibly curling the paper sheets (7) set in the paper storage part (6) in paper sheet lateral direction are provided in the printer (1).
