PURPOSE: A flame retardant styrene-based resin composition is provided, to improve the heat resistance, the impact strength, the flowability, the environmental friendliness and the fire stability. CONSTITUTION: The styrene-based resin composition comprises 60-94.5 wt% of a rubber-reinforced styrene-based resin; 0.5-20 wt% of a polyphenylene ether resin; and 5-20 wt% of a phosphate ester compound comprising 30-80 wt% of an oligomeric phosphate ester compound having a hindered methyl group and 20-70 wt% of a phosphate ester compound having a naphthyl group. Preferably the oligomeric phosphate ester compound having a hindered methyl group is represented by the formula 1, wherein n is 0-4, X is catechol, resorcinol, hydroquinone or a bis phenylenediol derivative of the formula 2 (wherein Y is an alkylene of C1-C5, an alkylidene of C1-C5, a cycloalkylidene of C5-C6, S or SO2 and z is 0 or 1); and phosphate ester compound having a naphthyl group is represented by the formula 3, wherein m is an integer of 0-2. |
