Instrument comprises a holder (1) with active tip (2, 3) at each end, with one or both tips fitted with a detachable protector (4, 5). The protectors have gripping zones (4a, 5a) and tongues (4c, 4d; 5c, 5d) that are connected to the tips by shearing points (6). The instrument is made from a thermoplastic material, with one active tip in the form of a point and the other in the shape of a blade.
