<p>PURPOSE:To suppress the influence of the contrast of video signals to make the movement of low-contrast videos detectable and to realize high-resolution video displays by using the ratio of the difference signal between frames of the video signals to input signals as a movement detecting signal. CONSTITUTION:Input analog video signals 10 are converted into digital video signals 12 by means of an A/D converter 11 and the video signals 10 outputted following the sampling clocks at the time of A/D-converting the signals 10 are successively stored in a frame memory 13. When the signals 12 are stored in the memory 13, delayed signals 14 which are produced by delaying the digital video signals 12 stored in the memory 13 by one-frame period are simultaneously read out and outputted. Then subtraction is performed on the signals 14 and 12 and the movement of videos between frames is detected from the calculated difference signals 16. Therefore, the influence of the contrast of the input video signals can be suppressed and even the movement of low-contrast videos can be detected.</p> |
