<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the picture quality of radiation pictures by scattered radiations by taking the radiation picture of an object by placing a structure constituted of alternately arranged radiopaque and radiotransparent members between the object and a stimulable phosphor and correcting the reading value of the shadow part of the radiotransparent members near the shadow part of the radiopaque members on the basis of the reading value of the shadow part of the radiopaque members. CONSTITUTION:A structure 4 constituted of alternately arranged radiopaque members 2 and radiotransparent members 3 is placed between an object 12 and stimulable phosphor 1. At the time of reading the latent image formed in the phosphor 1, the amount of scattered radiations reaching the part of the phosphor 1 in the shade of the radiopaque members 2 is found directly or through prescribed arithmetic operation from the reading value of the part. Then the found amount of scattered radiations is subtracted from the reading value of the shadow part of the radiotransparent members 3 near the shadow part of the members 2. Therefore, clear radiation pictures can be obtained by removing the influence of the scattered radiations from the reading value of the stimulable phosphor 1.</p> |
