PURPOSE: An electric fan system is provided to achieve improved user convenience by eliminating the necessity of operating a switch unit for operating an electric fan. CONSTITUTION: An electric fan system comprises a fan(16) arranged in a case; a motor(14) for rotating the fan; a switch unit(18) for supplying/cutting off a power to/from the motor; a contamination sensor(30) arranged at a side surface of the case, and which senses the level of contamination; a display unit(32) for displaying the level of contamination sensed by the contamination sensor, and which is arranged at the front surface of the case; a set box(34) for automatically or manually converting the switch unit; and a control unit(36) connected to the contamination sensor, display unit, motor and the switch unit, and which operates the motor and the fan by applying a power when the level of contamination sensed by the contamination sensor is higher than a predetermined level.
