PURPOSE:To realize an optical fiber amplifier to expand a signal in a fiber laser of oscillating in a 1.30mum band or an optical communication system for 1.30mum band. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber for amplification consisting of glass comprising Cr ion-containing Sn, Pb, P and F and O ion as a core material and glass comprising Sn, Pb, P and F and O as a clad material. By using the optical fiber amplifier, a light signal can be amplified in 1.30mum band and the fiber laser has a wide oscillation wavelength range of 1.23mum-1.35mum as shown by the figure. |
