Mass flowmeter for a fluid carrying line (5) has a housing with two matching entry fittings (7, 8) for the ends (78, 79) of the pipeline and a further connection fitting (14) for the flowmeter. Said connection fitting takes an insert that joins and seals the entry fittings and mass flowmeter. The insert is made from two parts; a circular slider and a deflection piece that are joined together with groove and tongue fixing. An Independent claim is made for a sluice armature for insertion in an inventive flowmeter to act as a blocking valve.
