PURPOSE: An automatic illumination control apparatus is provided to reduce a power consumption and achieve improved efficiency by permitting the illumination operation to be performed automatically in accordance with the ambient brightness. CONSTITUTION: An automatic illumination control apparatus comprises a power unit(10) for supplying a power for the apparatus; a power control unit(20) for controlling the power applied from the power unit in accordance with an illumination sense signal, and applying the controlled power; an illumination sensing unit(30) for sensing the ambient brightness and outputting an illumination sense signal to the power control unit; and a light emitting unit(40) constituted by one or more light emitting diodes, and which emits lights of different intensities in accordance with the size of the power being applied through the power control unit.
