PURPOSE: An electric hot air heater is provided to reduce manufacturing costs, while achieving improved efficiency of hot air heating by preventing a direct contact between the hot air and outdoor air. CONSTITUTION: An electric hot air heater comprises an intake blow duct(10) having an outdoor air intake port(11); a hot air blow duct(20) having a hot air generating chamber(21) having a diameter(D2) smaller than the diameter(D1) of the outdoor air intake port; a heating unit(30) for generating heat in such a manner that the hot air generating chamber of the hot air blow duct generates hot air; an outdoor duct(40) having a cooling air passage(41) for passage of a cooling air for cooling the hot air blow duct by using an outdoor air sucked through the outdoor air intake port of the intake blow duct, wherein the outdoor duct has a diameter(D3) larger than the diameter of the hot air blow duct and is mounted at the outside of the hot air blow duct; and an air curtain member(50) having an air curtain portion(51) for guiding flow of the cooling air in such a manner that the hot air generated from the hot air generating chamber does not directly contact the outdoor air, wherein the air curtain portion has a diameter(D4) larger than the diameter of the outdoor duct, and the air curtain member is mounted at an end of the hot air blow duct.
