The wall support consists of an empty frame assembled from corners (31 - 34), horizontal (35, 37) and vertical (36, 38) members. The frame is fastened to the wall by double-sided adhesive pads, and has other fixings of similar or different materials, such as screws for fastening a picture or mirror to its outer surface. One of the frame members, e.g. the top one, has an adapter (39) for an electrical cable (40), and inner fastenings for a light housing, e.g. containing a low tension transformer or a fluorescent light ballast. The frame can be fitted with an outer trim cover.
