The conveyor system for the de-stacking, positioning and stacking of workpiece carriers has a de-stacking device (3a), transfer conveyor (3b) and stacking device (3c) constructed as a circulating conveyor (3) with an endlessly circulating common traction device (13) in the form of a chain or toothed belt. The traction device runs vertically in the region of the de-stacking device and stacking device, and horizontally in the region of the transfer conveyor.
