Drum (1) has a series of bores (5) arranged in the peripheral direction of the drum and extending parallel to the axis of the drum. The drum body consists of two outer-lying plates (2, 3) having bores for workpiece receiver spindles. A body (4) is formed between the plates and has thickened parts (6) in the axial direction of the drum which interact with the bores. Preferred Features: The thickened parts have a trapezoidal shape in cross-section and protrude radially to the outer side of the drum. The drum has twelve bores.
