PURPOSE: A portable voice output device is provided to supply stored various kinds of document data as voice by interlocking with an external peripheral device, inputting/outputting various kinds of documents processed from the peripheral device, storing the processed documents, converting the stored various kinds of document data into voice, searching words space and orthography, and changing the stored various kinds of document data for being recognized by a user. CONSTITUTION: A storage(120) stores document data being inputted/output by an interface unit(100). A microprocessor(110) controls data stored in the storage(120) and controls a system in accordance with a contact of a key mattress(180) having a plurality of function buttons. A voice database(140) includes dictionary data, voice data, a voice module for converting specific document data stored in the storage(120) into voice by a control signal being output in the microprocessor(110). A buffer memory(150) stores voice converted by the voice database(140) by one sentence. An audio output unit(160) outputs voice data stored in the buffer memory(150) to an exterior.
