The telescopic rail has two U or C-shaped sections (2,3) movable on rolling bearings (4) installed on running tracks (7,8) on the telescopic sections. At least one stop (6) for the rolling bearings is installed at a distance from the end sections of the running track, with this distance being preferably 25 to 30 per cent of the maximum extension length of the adjacent telescopic sections from the end of the running track. The stop consists of a screw which is screwed into one of the telescopic sections and which is elastically constructed.
