A method for the production of a metal coating on an object (4) leaving a bath of molten metal (5), uses a magnetic field created at the exit point for the object. The object crosses through an outlet channel (3) containing a meniscus of the molten metal and the thickness of the metal coating is regulated as a function of a secondary derivation of the curve of the meniscus (6) and of a capillary number (Ca) representing the ratio between the viscous forces of the molten metal and the surface tension forces at the surface of the molten metal. An Independent claim is included for a device for the production of a metal coating on an object using this method. |
