The support consists of a base (2) and an upright (1) made from one or more rigid rods to hole a bouquet of flowers with a tie (4) round their stems. The lower part of the stems is covered by a layer of an impermeable film material that is placed under the base and drawn up over the stems to be held in place by a second tie or ribbon, allowing the bouquet to be watered through a hole at the top. The base can be in any suitable shape and can have surface recesses for the ends of the stems. The upright rods can also be made with various cross-sections, with optional rings for the stems or fastenings for a handle or label.
