<p>A golf bag comprises a flexible body (10 figure 1), base 12, props 13, linking piece 14 and adjustable length member 20. The adjustable member comprises two tubes, one fixed 22, one movable 21, that slides within the fixed tube 22. The adjustable member is secured at its distal ends to the top and bottom of the golf bag and a linking piece is attached to the fixed tube at one end and the props at the other. Once the golf bag is placed on the ground, the adjustable member and adjacent side of the golf bag decrease in length (see figure 8), causing the linking piece to be compressed, this then forces the props outwards as the linking piece maintains its length. The added advantage over other golf bags is that the full base of the golf bag maintains contact with the ground at all times, rather than resting on its edge and hence is more stable.</p> |
