GLOMERULAR EPITHELIAL CELL REPAIR AGENT AND THERAPEUTIC AGENT FOR NEPHROTIC SYNDROME CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a glomerular epithelial cell repair agent capable of widely administered for nephrotic syndrome, scarcely causing problems of adverse effects. SOLUTION: The glomerular epithelial cell repair agent contains vitamin A or its derivative. When the glomerular epithelial cell is damaged, an enzyme for synthesizing retinoic acid which is a derivative of vitamin A and a retinoic acid receptor are remarkably expressed. The above fact means that the vitamin A or the derivative is effective for repairing a damage to the glomerular epithelial cell, and the fact is proved by experiments in which rats are used.
