PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat structure of a chair having high cushioning characteristics as well as working as a seat cushion body achieved by appropriate deflection of a seat shell at the time of seating, and also having excellent mechanical strength at both left and right ends of the seat shell. SOLUTION: A seat receiver frame 7 is provided on a supporting base 2 supported by a leg 1. The seat receiver frame 7 has front-to-rear direction frames on the right and the left ends, which have circular shapes in a sectional view. The seat shell 8 composed of a synthetic resin is placed on the seat receiver frame 7, wherein receivers 13 are provided on a lower face of the right and the left ends thereof so as to slide in a peripheral direction on a peripheral face of the front-to-rear direction frames.
