PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal trap enabling the decrease of part costs, a production cost and a product cost, and make it easy for setting it up by simplifying a trigger mechanism. SOLUTION: This animal trap is equipped with a wire 2 fixing one side of it with a fixed object 1 of the ground and forming another side 2 as a loop- shaped trap part 3, a string-shaped sensor 5 laid over the trap part 3 of the wire 2, a belt-shaped leaf spring 7 pulling the wire 2 and constricting the diameter of the trap part 3 by a returning force when the string-shaped sensor 5 is activated, a main body part 9 attached with the base end 7a of the leaf spring 7 and the end part 2b<SB>1</SB>of the wire 2 of the trap part 3 and a trigger mechanism 11 for restoring the leaf spring 7 cooperating with the activation of the string-shaped sensor 5. A wire insertion hole 9a and a sensor insertion hole 9b are formed on the main body part 9 as adjacent.
