PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool of a spinning reel capable of surely engaging the top part of a fishline with a fishline-engaging part of the spool. SOLUTION: The spool of the spinning reel has a cylindrical skirt part 7b having a large diameter integrally formed with a bobbin body part in the rear of the bobbin body part. A groove part 7b to which the fishline-engaging part 70 is attachable is formed on the front end side of the outer periphery of a skirt part 7b. The fishline-engaging part 70 has an engaging part 70a provided in a state faced on the outer periphery of a groove part 7c and exposed to the outside and an attaching part 70b folding at nearly right angle from the engaging part 70a, passing through a through-hole 7d and extending to the interior of the skirt part 7b. A protrusion part 70f protruding to the skirt part 7b is formed on the face opposite to the skirt part 7b of the engaging part 70a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
