PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll for forming a corrugated core paper which suppresses noises and vibration generated when a single-sided corrugated board is manufactured, by suppressing change in a distance between axial centers of upper and lower stage rolls of a single facer, and a single facer using it. SOLUTION: The roll for forming the corrugated core paper comprises the first roll 11 with a tooth profile of a tooth line inclined to a roll shaft on the peripheral face of the roll, and the second roll 12 intermeshing it by making a pair. When an angle of inclination of the tooth line direction to the roll shaft direction isα, a length of a roll face is L, and a right angle pitch of the shaft of the tooth profile is (t); tanα=t/L is set in such a way that all the intermeshing positions of crests and bottoms of the tooth profile on the intermeshing line of both rolls are different.
