PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life rotary tool and a manufacturing method for the same by improving the structural arrangement of inorganic long fiber bundles composing an inorganic long fiber reinforced resin body to prevent the delamination. SOLUTION: In the inorganic long fiber reinforced resin body 10 comprising the rotary tool 1, the first fiber bundles 6A and the second fiber bundles 6B are arranged to cross each other, so that the front ends of the inorganic long fibers always reach a machining surface regardless of a direction the machining surface is facing. Also, the first fiber bundles 6A and the second fiber bundles 6B are arranged to be spaced at a prescribed distance, which makes part of the second fiber bundles 6B come in among the first fiber bundles 6A, while making part of the first fiber bundles 6A come in among the second fiber bundles 6B, thus both fiber bundles do not form a clear layer structure.
