SINGLE-SIDED COIL TYPE ELECTROMAGNETIC WELDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-sided coil type electromagnetic welder in which mounting or demounting operation of a material to be welded is facilitated and limits in a size and a shape of the material are reduced. SOLUTION: The single-sided coil type electromagnetic welder comprises a metal thin plate of the material to be welded and superposed and placed between a coil 2 and a retaining plate 11. A large current is supplied to the coil 2 to weld the thin plate. In this welder, the coil 2 is fixed to a welder base 1. The plate 11 is constituted of an insulator and is vertically movable. The coil 2 has an upper flat plate-like coil 4 and a lower flat plate-like coil 5. A current concentrating part 7 is provided at the coil 4, and a through hole 8 is provided at a part of the coil 5 opposed to the concentrating part 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
