PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removal apparatus for heavy metal ions in a liquid capable of corresponding even to a liquid containing heavy metal ions in a high concentration and having a surfactant getting mixed therein. SOLUTION: The removal apparatus for heavy metal ions in the liquid is constituted of the first PH adjusting device 2 for injecting a flocculant and an alkaline agent in a liquid containing a surfactant, a septic tank 9 in which the liquid stirred in the first PH adjusting device 2 is injected through a primary filter device 8, a flocculation type filter device 12 constituted by gathering crystals of at least basic magnesium sulfate and magnesium hydroxide and passing the liquid in the septic tank 9 through the mutual gaps of an adsorbent containing a hydroxy group, which bonds to heavy metal ions in the liquid to form flocs of heavy metal ions, to flocculate fine particles and floc-like fine particles of heavy metal ions in the liquid to form large lumps and filtering these lumps by a coarse mesh filter and the second PH adjusting device 17 for making the PH value of the liquid in the septic tank 9, filtered by the flocculation type filter device 12, neutral.
