PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method for applying a coating solution containing solid fine particles and achieving high speed coating while reducing the generation frequency of coating trouble. SOLUTION: A support is arranged between an ion attraction electrode having a flat or curved surface and an ion generator for generating positive and negative ions, and high voltages inversed in polarity to become positive and negative are alternately applied to the ion attraction electrode to attract positive and negative ions generated in the positive and negative ion generator by the ion attraction electrode. After a surface of the support is subjected to ion irradiation treatment, the support is coated with the coating solution containing solid fine particles. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
