The present invention relates to a waste-water discharge which exhibits an outer element (1) with an inlet (2) and an outlet (3), a shut-off valve (23) for shutting off the waste-water discharge exhibiting a valve seat (24), arranged on the insert (4), and a valve body (31) which can be adjusted with respect to the valve seat (24) by means of a threaded spindle (36) screwed into the nut-like element (18), the valve seat (24) being made partly of a sealing ring (25) arranged on the insert (4), and partly of a seat element (27) which is arranged on the insert (4) and consists of a harder material than the sealing ring (25). In order to ensure that the sealing ring (25) cannot be damaged by the clamping operation and, moreover, in order to make the sealing function of the shut-off valve (23) possible even when the sealing ring (25) is damaged, the sealing ring (25) and the seat element (27) are arranged with respect to one another such that, upon closure of the shut-off valve (23), the valve body (31) comes into contact first of all with the sealing ring (25) and then with the seat element (27). <IMAGE> |
