<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormal shadow detecting method which reduces the deviation of accuracy of detected result of abnormal shadow due to a difference in the distribution state of a mammary gland in a breast image. <P>SOLUTION: An image classifying means 10 classifies an image P depending on an image data of a breast, according to the distribution state of the mammary gland, and a detection means 20 detects the tumor shadow in the classified image P at every distribution state of the mammary gland by a prescribed abnormal shadow detecting process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
