MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF STEERING COLUMN JOINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate positioning of a steering shaft and a steering column joint by providing only a serration having a length required for connecting the steering column joint to the steering shaft and simplifying a used component.

SOLUTION: A mounting structure of the steering column joint 14 includes a cap 20 for positioning a mounting angle position of the steering column joint 14 with respect to the steering shaft 13. The cap 20 has an engagement removing means 24 (a cut line 25 and a deflection part 26) for removing the engaging part 21 from the serration 13A of the steering shaft 13 when the steering column joint 14 having finished serration connection to the serration 13A of the steering shaft 13 interferes with the engaging part 21 of the cap 20.
