<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instant food container which is good in sealability and drainability of hot water. <P>SOLUTION: The instant food container from which hot water is drained after it is poured comprises a container body 1 and a lid 2 to be sealed with an upper end flange 1a thereof. The lid 2 has a tab 3 extending outward from its outer periphery, a pair of linear cuts 5a and 5b provided on the tab 3, and a plurality of substantially U-shaped cuts 6 provided between the pair of linear cuts 5a and 5b. Each of the cuts 6 comprises a pair of lines 6a and 6a parallel to the linear cuts 5a and 5b, and a coupling 6b for coupling both lines 6a and 6a on a side of the outer periphery of the lid 2. Leading edges of the linear cuts 5a and 5b and leading edges of the lines 6a and 6a of each U-shaped cut 6 are located within a seal 12 of the lid 2, and a direction of easily tearing the lid 2 substantially aligns with the direction of the linear cuts 5a and 5b and the lines 6a and 6a of the U-shaped cut. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
