<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignitor for an air bag system, having a reduced size as a whole. <P>SOLUTION: The ignitor for the air bag system to be used for the air bag system having an ECU connected to a power supply and an impact detecting sensor and a module case containing a gas generator and an air bag is assembled in the gas generator. The system has a bus line consisting of a plurality of circular wires passing through the ECU for supplying a current or others and each gas generator operably connected thereto via a conductor branching from the bus line. The ignitor as an electric operated ignitor has an heating portion and explosive contacting the heating portion. The ignitor and the bus line are connected to each other via the conductor where a capacitor and an IC are installed.
