PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder that records an image on a cut sheet type recording medium which is obtained by pulling and cutting in a predetermined length the recording medium wound in a roll, whereby the lengths of the cut sheet type recording media are not changed by the use thereof and are not so much varied among the image recorders. SOLUTION: This image recorder 10 comprises a magazine 30 storing a roll body 34 of the recording medium, a cutter 14 for cutting the recording medium to form a cut sheet body, an advancing roller 36 for advancing the recording medium from the magazine 30 to the cutter 14, a conveyance roller group 22 for conveying the cut sheet body toward an image recording section, a position detecting means (a cut sheet body detecting sensor 15 and a control device 23) for obtaining a length of the cut sheet body passing through a conveyance path, and an adjusting means (the control device 23) for adjusting the length of the recording medium advanced by the advancing roller 36 based on the measured result.
