PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease differences in values of physical properties of upper and lower sheets in the upper and lower two thermoplastic resin foamed sheets obtained by extrusion molding from a circular die and cutting an extrudate by a cutter in the horizontal direction, to make it unnecessary to consciously distinguish and properly use the upper and lower sheets, and to neglect a great deal of man-hour required for fine adjustment of a molding condition during molding. SOLUTION: A peripheral edge of an apex on a circular die side of an annular cooling mandrel 13 is made into a curved face with a curvature radius R in a range of 15-80 mm. When an imaginary tangent line S is drawn from an apex 11a of a slit part of the circular die to the curved face, an angleθmade between the imaginary tangent line S and a central line L is in a range of 30-75°.
